Freedman, Alan. Computer Desktop Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition. AMACOM, 1999. ISBN: 0-814-479-855. This is great for a fast look-up or refresher.
Messmer, Hans-Peter. The Indispensable PC Hardware Book, 3rd Edition. Reading, MA: Addison-Wesley Publishing Company, 2000. ISBN: 0-201-403-994. This is a comprehensive, up-to-date reference book that covers far more than you will need to know for the exam.
